INTRODUCING THE AMAZING 'ANGUS' and DEB

Click on the VIDEO LINK and while it is loading, read this story of courage, dedication and faith between a very special lady and her ASD Labradoodle puppy and what they have accomplished together.

Deb and her wonderful husband Chris live in North Carolina. Deb is in constant pain although you would never guess it with her  cheerful positive - thinking attitude to life.  Deb spends her waking time in her wheel chair and her passionate love of dogs led her to investigate getting a Service Dog to help her throughout her difficult days and nights.  But waiting time was long so in 2005 Deb called Angela in Florida to discuss the possibility of her training her own ASD Labradoodle from her chair.  Angela's immediate response was 'why not?'

A short while later Angela selected a puppy which she believed would suit Deb's needs.   Angela worked with the puppy through Early Learning and at four months of age she presented him to Deb to carry on with.

At just under 12 months of age, the puppy had learned to do an impressive number of tasks, including picking up dropped objects & returning them to Deb, opening and closing the fridge door, and retrieving a number of items by name from different locations around  the home.  His obvious delight when asked to 'bring work vest"' showed how much he enjoyed his work!

Late 2006 Deb bravely managed a ten hour car trip from NC to Florida to visit Angela and she was impressed with Angus' obvious pleasure at meeting Angela again.  The photos below show their reunion, along with Chris,  and Angela's young son Tanner.

Angela's Dream is to establish a Training Centre  where others  can learn to train their own Service Dogs. If you would like to sponsor a future service dog we are grateful for donations to help families with shipping.
